Installments Released Under the Scheme

YSR EBC Nestham was started by Former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to help economically weak upper caste women. The first installment was released on 25 January 2022, the second on 12 April 2023 and the third on 14 March 2024. The scheme continues to run under the current Andhra Pradesh government.

Benefits of YSR EBC Nestham Scheme

The main aim of the scheme is to help economically weak upper caste women improve their income and living standards. Eligibility Criteria for YSR EBC Nestham Scheme

The applicant must meet the following conditions to get the benefit of the scheme:

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh and a woman from the economically backward classes (EBC) category.
• The age of the woman must be between 45 and 60 years, and she must belong to an upper caste such as Reddy, Kamma, Arya Vaishya, Kshatriya, Velama, Brahmin or other OC communities.
• Family income should be less than Rs. 10,000 per month in rural areas and Rs. 12,000 per month in urban areas, and the family should own less than 3 acres of wet land or 10 acres of dry land.
• No family member should be a government employee or pensioner, and the family should not own a four wheeler (taxi, auto and tractors are exempted).
• The applicant must have a working mobile number and a working bank account linked with Aadhaar.
