- To improve productivity through efficient, cost effective and sustainable use of resources, and to get higher returns through better liquidity and market linkages for their produce, so that farmers can become sustainable through collective action.
- To provide handholding and support to new FPOs for up to 5 years from the year of creation in all parts of FPO management, inputs, production, processing and value addition, market linkages, credit linkages and use of technology.
- To provide effective training to FPOs so they can develop agriculture entrepreneurship skills and become economically viable and self-sustaining beyond the period of government support.
Benefits Under 10K FPO Scheme
Each new FPO formed under the scheme gets financial and institutional support to help it grow and become self-sustaining. The main benefits are given below.
- Handholding support for a period of five years to each new FPO formed under the scheme.
- Financial assistance of ₹18 lakh to each FPO towards management cost for 3 years.
- Matching equity grant of up to ₹2,000 per farmer member, with a limit of ₹15 lakh per FPO.
- Credit guarantee facility of up to ₹2 crore of project loan per FPO from eligible lending institutions, so that FPOs can get institutional credit easily.

How to Register an FPO on e-NAM
FPOs and Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) can register on the e-NAM portal to sell their produce online. Registration can be done through the website or the mobile app, or by providing the required details at the nearest e-NAM mandi.
STEP 1 - Visit the official e-NAM website at enam.gov.in FPO registration page.
STEP 2 - Provide the name of the FPO or FPC, and the name, address, email ID and contact number of the authorized person (MD/CEO/Manager).
STEP 3 - Provide the bank account details, including the name of the bank, branch, account number and IFSC code, and complete the registration.
