Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has issued two major recruitment notifications for Assistant Teacher and PGT posts in Uttar Pradesh. Both advertisements were released on 15 September 2026. Through these two recruitment, the Commission will fill 15,012 teaching posts across the Secondary Education Department and Basic Education Department.
Under Advertisement No. 05/2026, UPESSC has announced recruitment for 12,405 Assistant Teacher posts. This includes 897 Assistant Teacher posts in attached primary sections of government-aided secondary schools under the Secondary Education Department and 11,508 Assistant Teacher posts in Urban areas under the Basic Education Department.

For Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2026, candidates must complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process before submitting their application. The online registration and application process starts from 16 September 2026. The last date to submit the online application fee is 15 October 2026, while corrections in the submitted application form will be allowed up to 19 October 2026.
The written examination for UP Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2026 is scheduled for 3 and 4 December 2026. Candidates should check the detailed Advertisement No. 05/2026 for eligibility, educational qualification, age limit, category-wise vacancies and other recruitment conditions.
UPESSC has also released Advertisement No. 06/2026 for recruitment to the PGT or Lecturer Cadre. A total of 2,607 vacant PGT posts in government-aided secondary schools of Uttar Pradesh will be filled through this recruitment.
Candidates applying for the PGT Recruitment 2026 also need to complete One Time Registration before submitting their online application. The online registration and application process for PGT posts starts from 18 September 2026.
The last date to submit the online application fee for PGT Recruitment is 17 October 2026. Candidates will get time up to 21 October 2026 to make corrections in their online application form. The PGT recruitment examination is scheduled for 15 and 16 December 2026.
Candidates interested in either recruitment should carefully read the respective detailed advertisement before applying. Information regarding subject-wise vacancies, eligibility criteria, age limit, reservation, application procedure, examination pattern and other conditions will be available in the detailed advertisements on the official UPESSC website at upessc.up.gov.in.
With Advertisement No. 05/2026 and Advertisement No. 06/2026, UPESSC has started the recruitment process for 15,012 teaching posts in Uttar Pradesh. Assistant Teacher applications start on 16 September 2026, while PGT applications start on 18 September 2026.
