Scheme for Promotion of Affordable Rental Smart Housing (SPARSH 2.0): Registering Housing Complexes
SPARSH 2.0 is a housing scheme of the UT Administration of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. It supports the Housing for All vision by encouraging government departments, public sector units, autonomous bodies and local authorities to build new rental housing complexes or convert vacant government residential units into rental homes. This adds to the affordable housing stock for workers in industries, construction sites and other sectors.
Key focus areas include proper ventilation, water supply, waste management and renewable energy integration. The scheme also asks owners to reserve dwelling units for the economically weaker section for at least 20 years. This matches the vision of Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan and gives long-term housing security while improving the quality of life for the workforce.
