Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) Internship gives students hands-on experience in the renewable energy sector. SECI is a Navratna CPSU under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, and in 2026 the online application window still opens from the 1st to the 10th of every month through the official website.

This scheme helps students understand renewable energy as a field and SECI as an employer. The placement is structured, short-term and supervised, and it focuses on specific tasks or projects with fixed timelines, so the work stays meaningful for both the intern and the organisation.

Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) Internship

Interns can choose from the following areas of interest, which match the work SECI does across the country:

  • Renewable energy and solar-wind hybrids, covering projects that combine solar and wind power on the same site.
  • Floating solar projects, where panels are installed on water bodies to save land.
  • Solar manufacturing and battery energy storage systems, which support storage of solar power.
  • Solar park development, including planning and execution of large solar parks.
  • Solar rooftop projects and off-grid solar, which bring solar power closer to homes and villages.

Duration of the internship depends on the course you are pursuing:

  • Engineering / M-Tech students: 3 to 6 months.
  • CA / CA (Inter), CS / ICWA / ICWA (Inter) / CMA students: 6 months to 3 years.
  • MBA students: 7 weeks to 6 months.
