Scholarship to SC students studying in selected schools under Talentpool Scheme is an empowering initiative by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Gujarat. It provides top tier educational opportunities to meritorious Scheduled Caste students in high quality residential schools. This scheme encourages students to excel academically and improve their long term prospects.
The government allocates financial support per student to help them pursue quality education. The program targets 330 students across 33 districts, selecting 5 meritorious students from Standard 5 and 5 from Standard 10 in each district. The office of the concerned District Deputy Director (Ajak) manages the implementation.
Currently, the following 8 schools are empanelled for this program:
- Late P.U. Chavda Edu. Trust operated Nalanda Vidyalaya Educational Complex, Bhorigada, Amreli.
- Futurelink School, operated by Gujarat Child Development Board, Vill. Kharedivav, Tal. Jambughoda, Dist. Panchmahal.
- Shri J.R. Desai School, operated by Gujarat Bal Vikas Mandal, Mora, Morwa, Dist. Panchmahal.
- Shri Neelkanth Education and Social Welfare Trust, Bayad, Aravalli.
- Shri Brahmanand Vidya Mandir, Chaparda, operated by Brahmacharishree Bhagwati Nandji Education Trust.
