Applications keep running through the year at the district level, so there is no fixed last date in 2026. Money reaches the student directly in the bank account through DBT payment.
Incentives to Students who Passed the Civil Service Examination 2026
Tribal Welfare and Scheduled Caste Department of Madhya Pradesh runs this scheme. Idea is simple. Preparing for UPSC or MPPSC costs money, and many tribal families cannot keep paying for books, coaching and travel year after year. So the state gives a cash reward at every stage a student clears, instead of waiting till the final selection.
Reward is not one lump sum. Clear the prelims, get one amount. Clear the mains, get a bigger amount. Reach the interview stage, get another payment on top of that.
Cash Reward Amounts in 2026
Amount depends on which exam and which stage a student has cleared. UPSC stages carry double the amount of MPPSC stages.

For a second success at the same stage, only 50 percent of the amount is paid. Third time onwards, nothing is paid. So a student who clears UPSC prelims twice gets ₹40,000 the first time and ₹20,000 the second time.
How to Apply for the Incentive
Process is offline. A student applies after the result comes out, at the district office of the tribal welfare department, not at the state office only.
STEP 1 - Wait for the official result of the stage cleared, then download or collect the result copy from the UPSC or MPPSC website.
STEP 2 - Go to the Assistant Commissioner or District Organiser office of the Tribal Welfare and Scheduled Caste Department in your own district and ask for the civil service incentive application form.
STEP 3 - Fill the form with your name, caste certificate number, exam roll number, stage cleared and bank account details. Paste a passport size photo on it.
STEP 4 - Attach self attested copies of the caste certificate, domicile proof, income certificate, Aadhaar card, bank passbook first page and the exam result.
STEP 5 - Submit the file at the counter and take the receiving stamp with date on your copy. Keep it safe, that receipt is the only way to follow up later.
STEP 6 - After the office checks the papers, the approved amount is sent to the bank account linked with your MPTAAS profile. Students already registered on the MPTAAS portal should keep their profile details correct, otherwise payment gets stuck.
Who Can Apply
Rules are fixed by the department and district offices follow them strictly. A student should check all points before filing the form.
- Student must be a native resident of Madhya Pradesh with a domicile certificate to prove it.
- Student must belong to a Scheduled Tribe category recognised in Madhya Pradesh, with a valid caste certificate.
- Student must have cleared the preliminary, main or interview stage of MPPSC or UPSC civil services exam.
- Family income limit applies at the district level, generally up to ₹5 lakh for MPPSC cases and up to ₹8 lakh for UPSC cases, as per the district office rule.
- Full amount is paid for the first success at a stage, half for the second, nothing after that.
