Rupashree Prakalpa Form 2026 (New Form)

How to Apply Online for Rupashree Prakalpa
STEP 1 - Open the official Rupashree portal at rupashree.wb.gov.in and go to the Rupashree online section on the homepage.
STEP 2 - Fill the Rupashree Prakalpa application form with the bride's personal details, family income details and the proposed marriage date.
STEP 3 - Upload the required documents like age proof, income declaration, residence proof and bank account details along with the form.
STEP 4 - Submit the application and note down the application or reference number. The grant reaches the bride's bank account only after the verification is complete.
Eligibility for Rupashree Prakalpa 2026
A woman can apply for Rupashree Prakalpa only if she meets all the conditions given below. The state government checks every application before releasing the grant.
- Age: The applicant must have completed 18 years of age at the time of applying.
- Marital status: She must be unmarried on the date of submitting the application, and the proposed marriage must be her first marriage.
- Groom's age: Her possible groom must have completed 21 years of age.
- Residence: She must be born in West Bengal, or must have been a resident of West Bengal for the last 5 years, or her parents must be permanent residents of the state.
- Family income: The family's annual income must not be more than ₹1.50 lakh from all sources.
- Bank account: She must have an active bank account in her own name in a bank that has a MICR code and supports NEFT electronic payments.

- Proof of residence: Self-declaration.
- Bank account: Self-attested copy of the bank passbook page showing the account holder's name, account number, bank address, IFSC code and MICR number.

Where to Submit the Rupashree Form
Applicants who do not want to apply online can submit the completed form at the Office of the Block Development Officer, Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer or Office of the Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation under which the applicant's residence falls. The form must be submitted before the date of marriage, and it is best to submit it 30 to 60 days before the proposed marriage date so that verification and payment happen on time.
After verification, the grant of ₹25,000 is transferred directly to the bride's own bank account through the online payment system. Like Kanyashree Prakalpa, this scheme also focuses on helping girls from poor families.
