Pyari Didi Yojana was an election promise made by Congress for women living in Delhi. Under this scheme, Congress said it would give every woman ₹2,500 per month if it came to power in the Delhi assembly. Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and Congress leader Alka Lamba announced it as the party's first guarantee for the Delhi election and said the scheme would be implemented once Congress formed the government.
Scheme has been closed or it was a one time scheme which has been closed by the government.
Congress announced Pyari Didi Yojana before the Delhi assembly election. The party said the online registration portal for the scheme would be launched after the election results. Congress claimed that if it formed the government in Delhi, online registration for the scheme would start within a few days.

Purpose and Possible Effect of Pyari Didi Yojana
Pyari Didi Yojana was planned to make women self-reliant and strengthen their money position. Congress said the scheme would help women with household expenses and reduce their money problems. If the scheme had been implemented, it would have helped in many ways.
- Financial freedom of women would have increased.
- Family income would have improved.
- Women would have got direct cash support every month.
- More women voters would have taken part in the election.
Pyari Didi Yojana had started a political debate. Congress called it the "Karnataka model" and said that BJP and other parties were copying the scheme. The AAP government called it a Congress election stunt. Alka Lamba targeted the AAP government and said that the schemes of AAP for women were only for show.
Pyari Didi Yojana was seen as a masterstroke by Congress in the Delhi election. The direct cash support of ₹2,500 per woman made it different from other schemes. But Congress lost the Delhi election and the scheme was never implemented. The BJP government later brought its own ₹2,500 women scheme, which was renamed Delhi Lakshmi Yojana and its registration is now open at dly.delhi.gov.in.
