Rajasthan government has started Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha Yojana to encourage people to take road accident victims to hospital. The state govt. will give Rs. 5,000 reward to good Samaritans who save lives by taking road accident victims to hospitals. Just like Rajasthan state, Delhi govt. is already running a cash reward scheme since May 2018 under which, people who take a road accident victim to hospital are entitled to get Rs. 2,000. Moreover, any road victim will get free treatment for 72 hours after the accident.

A new scheme namely Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha Yojana 2024 has been formulated by the Rajasthan state government. In this scheme, govt. will provide cash reward of Rs. 5000 to people who take road accident victims to hospital. In addition to this, the good Samaritan will also be given a certificate. Launch of CM Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha Yojana

Rajasthan is emerging as the leading state of the country in the field of health services. The state government is working with full commitment so that the best medical facilities can be provided to the people of the state. Under this, recently a review meeting of the medical department was called by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. During this, he launched the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha Yojana.

Under this scheme, a resident of any state of the country injured in a road accident can get free treatment for 72 hours in private and government hospitals affiliated to Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Rajasthan is emerging as a model state in the field of medical and health services. In the state, 7 percent of the budget is being spent on medical and health services. Along with expensive tests like MRI, CT scan, liver transplant, bone marrow transplant is being provided free of cost in the state.

Objective of Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Jeevan Rakshak Yojna

Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Jeevan Raksha Yojana aims to motivate people so that people injured in road accidents can reach nearby hospitals in golden hour and get treatment. Execution of will be through health department and expenditure of the scheme will be borne by the road safety fund. The मुख्यमंत्री चिरंजीवी जीवन रक्षक योजना will apply to both private and government hospitals.

Rs. 5000 Cash Reward to Good Samaritans in Rajasthan

A casualty medical officer of the hospital in the emergency room will deal with the person who has brought an injured to the hospital and note down the person’s details. A cash reward of Rs. 5000 will be given to good Samaritans under Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Jeevan Rakshak Yojana. The cash reward will be given in serious cases only where the injured needed to be admitted or be referred to the hospital for treatment. If there are more than one good Samaritans in a particular case, the cash reward will be divided equally among them and appreciation letters given to all of them.

Exclusion in CM Chiranjivi Jivan Rakshak Yojna

The following entities will be excluded from availing the benefits of Rajasthan Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Jeevan Rakshak Yojana:-

  • Employees of 108 and 1033 ambulance staff
  • Private ambulance
  • Policemen
  • Relatives of the injured

CM Chiranjeevi Jeevan Rakshak Yojana will encourage good Samaritans. The standard operating procedure (SOP) will simplify the rules dealing with police and health department and the incentive will add on to the cause. As per WHO report, 50% of road accident fatalities can be avoided if treatment is given on time.

Delhi started a similar cash reward scheme for good Samaritans in May 2018 under which, people who take a road accident victim to hospital are entitled to get a cash reward of Rs. 2,000. The scheme was announced in August 2016 when a man had bled to death after being hit by a tempo in west Delhi and cleared by the state cabinet in 2017.
