STEP 1 - Go to the official website coaching.dosje.gov.in on your browser. The homepage will look like the image shown below.
STEP 2 - Look for the Login or Register option on the homepage and click on it to open the login page, shown below.
STEP 3 - Register with your Aadhaar number and basic details, then fill the application form with your caste certificate, income certificate, education details and bank account details.
STEP 4 - Upload the required documents and submit the form before the last date. Keep a copy of the submitted application and acknowledgment for your records. Selected applicants can check the notification list published on the portal.

Courses for which Free Coaching will be given to SC and OBC Students
Here is the complete list of courses for which free coaching will be given to SC and OBC students.
- Group A and B examinations conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) and the various Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs)
- Group A and B examinations conducted by the State Public Service Commissions
- Officers Grade examinations conducted by Banks, Insurance Companies and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs)
- Premier entrance examinations for admission in Engineering such as IIT-JEE & AIEEE, Medical like NEET, professional courses like Management (CAT) and Law (CLAT), and any other such disciplines decided by the Ministry
- Eligibility tests and examinations like SAT, GRE, GMAT and TOEFL
Stipend and Special Allowance under Free Coaching Scheme for SC and OBC Students
Stipend: Monthly stipend of Rs. 3,000 per student will be paid for local students for attending the coaching class. Similarly, Rs. 6,000 per student will be paid per month for outstation students, paid till the duration of the course or one year, whichever is less.
Special Allowance: Students with disabilities (40% disability or more) are also eligible for a special allowance of Rs. 2,000 per student per month towards reader allowance, escort allowance, helper allowance, and so on. This is over and above the stipend.
Eligibility Criteria and Selection of Beneficiary Students
Only candidates who fulfil the below eligibility criteria will be eligible for Free Coaching Scheme for SC and OBC students.
- Students are selected by the coaching institute based on academic criteria prescribed by the institute itself. The institute may relax these criteria for SC/OBC candidates.
- Only students belonging to SC and OBC with total family income from all sources of Rs. 8 lakh or less per year are eligible for benefits under the scheme.
- Benefits under the scheme can be availed by a particular student not more than twice, irrespective of the number of chances.
- Where the exam is conducted in two stages, Preliminary and Mains, candidates are entitled to free coaching for both, up to two times each, as per their convenience. There is no restriction on the number of chances for coaching for the interview stage, if the candidate is selected for interview.
Selected students have to attend all classes. If a student remains absent for 15 days without valid reason, benefits of free coaching are discontinued.
Implementing Agencies for Free Coaching Scheme for SC and OBC
Free Coaching Scheme for SC and OBC students is implemented through reputed coaching institutes and centres run by Central Government, State Governments, UT Administrations, PSUs and Autonomous Bodies under Central or State Governments, Universities (Central, State, Deemed and Private Universities recognised by the concerned authority), and registered private institutes or NGOs.
Duration of Empanelment: Empanelment is for 3 years. Proposals are invited through State Governments as nodal agencies.
