Nagaland CMHIS Scheme 2026 guidelines are available to download in PDF format on the official portal cmhis.nagaland.gov.in. The state government launched the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme on 14 October 2022 as a step toward fulfilling the Nagaland Sustainable Development Goal Vision 2030. The scheme is still running and now offers cashless treatment to eligible citizens through a dedicated online portal.
CMHIS Nagaland is implemented in convergence with Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, AB PM-JAY, and is run by the Nagaland Health Protection Society under the Department of Health and Family Welfare. The scheme covers government employees, pensioners, and Indigenous Inhabitants or Permanent Residents of Nagaland who are not covered under AB PM-JAY.
Nagaland CMHIS Scheme 2026
Under CMHIS Nagaland, eligible families get free and cashless treatment for various ailments at empanelled hospitals across the country. The scheme works in two categories with different coverage amounts.
CMHIS Employee and Pensioner (EP) category gives coverage of ₹20 lakh per year per family. CMHIS General Category (GC) gives coverage of ₹5 lakh per year per family. Both work on a family floater basis, which means the full amount is available to any member of the family during the year.
The scheme covers inpatient treatment and specific daycare procedures including surgeries, dialysis, and chemotherapy. Pre-existing conditions and diseases are also covered. OPD services and standalone diagnostic tests are not covered under the scheme.
