Bima Sakhi Yojana, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is a new scheme for women in Haryana. The LIC Sakhi Bima yojana is aimed at empowering rural women by providing them with employment opportunities as insurance agents (Bima Sakhis). Women interested in availing of the benefits of this scheme can apply online through the official LIC website, licindia.in or visit the nearest LIC Office.

But before that, it is important to know that this scheme is applicable for women belonging to any state of Country and who are at least 10th passed (Complete eligibility criteria below).
Bima Sakhi Yojana has been launched today, 9th December 2024 by PM Narendra Modi from Panipat in Haryana, Watch Live at DD News.
Under this scheme, women will join LIC (Life Insurance Corporation of India) as Bima Sakhis (Insurance Agents) and they will be given salary of up to Rs. 7000 per month along with an encouragement incentive of Rs. 2100. Women will also receive commission incentives whenever they sell any insurance product of the company and whenever someone renews / pays the premium of their insurance. 2 Lakh women will join LIC as insurance agents in next 3 years under Bima Sakhi Yojana

Eligible women will be able to apply online through the official portal of licindia.in. Below is the basic online application process for LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana.
STEP 1: Visit the official LIC India website at licindia.in.
STEP 2: Click on the Bima Sakhi Yojana banner or link on the homepage of the website.
STEP 3: Click on the “Click Here for Bima Sakhi” option in the next page.
STEP 4: An application form for “Bima Sakhi Yojana” will be shown on the next page, fill your name, address, education qualification and other required information in the form.
STEP 6: Attach all the required documents such as Aadhar Card, Residence Certificate, PAN Card, Educational Qualification Certificates and a Photo/
STEP 7: Submit the form by clicking the “SUBMIT” button at the bottom of the application form.
STEP 8: Your application is complete, you will get an application or reference number which can be used to check the status of your application at later stage.
STEP 9: The status of your application may also be delivered to your mobile number through SMS or email ID (Filled at the time of application).

Eligibility Criteria for Bima Sakhi Yojana
Below is the basic eligibility criteria for Bima Sakhi Yojana
- Applicant should be a women.
- Applicant’s age should be between 18 and 70 years.
- Applicant should be a permanent resident of any state in India.
- Minimum education qualification of 10th pass is required.
- Applicant should hold a valid Aadhar and PAN card.
- An active saving bank account is also required which is linked with Aadhar and PAN card.
Exclusions – Who Can Not Apply for Bima Sakhi Yojana
- Relatives of existing Agent or Employee shall not be eligible to be recruited as MCAs. Relatives shall include the following family members – Spouse, Children including adopted and step children (whether dependent or not), Parents, Brothers, Sisters and immediate In-laws.
- A Retired employee of the Corporation or an Ex-agent seeking reappointment shall not be granted agency under MCA scheme.
- Existing agent can not apply for recruitment as MCA.
After the online application is complete, applicants will be notified of the acceptance of the application via SMS or email or phone call. Selected applicants will be given few days of training by the LIC officials about the insurance products and services.
After the training is complete, applicants can start selling the insurance products and earn commission incentives along with fixed salary of up to Rs. 7000.
