Goals of Swayampurna Goa Scheme
The Swayampurna Goa scheme works towards a set of clear goals so that every Goan village and city becomes truly self-reliant, economically, socially and ecologically. The main goals of the scheme are given below.
- Self-reliance in food production by reducing dependence on neighbouring states for foodgrains, vegetables, fruits, dairy and fish through revival of agriculture and allied sectors in every village.

Impact of Swayampurna Goa Scheme
The Swayampurna Goa scheme has made good progress since its launch. Under the scheme, more than 2,000 houses have been built under PMAY and state housing schemes, over 800 Krishi Cards have been issued to farmers, more than 76 drainages have been built across villages and municipal wards, and over 760 toilets have been built under the Swachh Bharat Mission.
Under the Swayampurna Goa Programme, a "Vision for All" programme was conducted, providing eye examination to 2.37 lakh students from classes 1st to 10th in all government and government-aided schools across the state. Another drive, "Bright Smiles, Bright Futures", promoting oral health awareness, covered 1.80 lakh children from 907 schools in Goa.

All government officers are expected to work as Karmayogis in their efforts to make Goa Swayampoorna. One of the key aims of the government is to eliminate poverty in the state. Goa completed 60 years of Liberation from Portuguese rule, and the state government wants to make sure that no resident of Goa stays below the poverty line and that incomes increase.

i am residence of Congarem ,Bhati, Sanguem Goa, my village is just 7kms from Salaulim Dam but we hardly gets 500-1000 litres of water per day. pipelines are being layed in our village through various schemes but the issue is not resolved yet. Since last 4years we are taking followup with the PWD department, every time department said that after JAICA line functioning we will get the proper water supply.
We had also requested Swayampurna mitra visiting our Bhati pachayat to take up this issue.
