AP ration card eKYC is now mandatory for every family member listed on a Rice Card in Andhra Pradesh. eKYC, which means electronic Know Your Customer, links each member to their Aadhaar through fingerprint, iris or face verification. State government uses this process to keep the Public Distribution System (PDS) free of fake and duplicate cards.
If even one member on the card has not completed eKYC, the card can be marked inactive and monthly rice supply may stop. So checking the eKYC status of every member and finishing the pending ones is important for all Rice Card holders.
