Madhya Pradesh government is running the Grants-in-aid and Monthly Grants to Soldiers Decorated with Gallantry Decorations scheme in 2026 for soldiers and ex-servicemen of the state who have won gallantry awards. Under this scheme, a one-time grant of ₹12,000 to ₹20,00,000 and a monthly allowance of ₹1,500 to ₹5,000 is paid, going by the class of the award.
Home Department of Madhya Pradesh runs this scheme through the Directorate of Sainik Welfare and its district offices. Applications are taken offline at the District Sainik Welfare Office all through the year. There is no last date, and no fee.
Gallantry Award Grants Scheme in Madhya Pradesh
Money given here is a mark of respect for bravery shown in duty. Awards recognised by the President's Secretariat, like Param Vir Chakra, Ashok Chakra, Maha Vir Chakra, Kirti Chakra, Vir Chakra, Shaurya Chakra and Sena, Nau Sena and Vayu Sena medals, are covered. Both serving soldiers and retired ex-servicemen who belong to Madhya Pradesh can claim it.
As on 05 August 2026, no change has been notified in the grant amounts or the eligibility rules. The scheme is open and district Sainik Welfare offices are taking forms as usual. Anyone who won a gallantry award recently, including in the Republic Day 2026 awards list, can apply once the award notification copy is with them.
