Mukhyamantri Mahalakshmi Kit Yojana supports the health and well-being of mothers and their newborn girl children by providing essential care kits after institutional delivery for women registered at an Anganwadi Centre in Uttarakhand. The scheme, earlier known as Saubhagyawati Yojana, is now fully online and the Women Empowerment and Child Development Department of Uttarakhand continues to distribute kits through Anganwadi Centres across the state.

Mukhyamantri Mahalakshmi Kit Yojana - Introduction

Mukhyamantri Mahalakshmi Kit Yojana is a thoughtful scheme launched by the Department of Women Empowerment and Child Development, Government of Uttarakhand. It supports the long-term health and well-being of mothers and their newborn daughters. By providing essential care kits after institutional delivery, the scheme makes sure that mothers registered at an Anganwadi Centre get the support they need to start their journey into motherhood with confidence.

The scheme was earlier run as Saubhagyawati Yojana and has been renamed and redesigned under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Kits are now distributed through Anganwadi Centres across the state, and the application process has been moved fully online so that eligible mothers can apply without visiting any office.
