Scheme for Establishment of Hi-Tech and Mini Dairy Units offers financial support to unemployed residents of Haryana who want to set up dairy units of 4, 10, 20, or 50 milch animals. The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of Haryana, runs this credit-linked scheme to create self-employment and improve household income.

Support comes as a cash subsidy or interest subvention on the cost of milch animals. Buffaloes, crossbred cows, and indigenous breeds such as Hariana, Sahiwal, Belahi, Red Sindhi, Tharparkar, and Gir are covered. The department keeps the scheme open every year and updates the rules for each financial year.

Scheme for Establishment of Hi-Tech and Mini Dairy Units - Introduction

This scheme helps unemployed people who want to start dairy farming. A person can set up a unit of 4, 10, 20, or 50 milch animals and get financial help to buy them. The goal is to give unemployed citizens a way to earn a regular income and to raise milk production in the state.

The scheme is open to individuals, including Antyodaya families. Small dairy owners who already run a unit of fewer than 20 animals can also move up to a 20 or 50 animal unit. This helps small units grow into bigger, commercial operations over time.

An 11-day dairy husbandry training is offered at the sub-division or district level.
