Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojana is a state scheme of Arunachal Pradesh that gives financial support to farmers for modern farming and land development. It lets individual farmers, self help groups and farmer producer organisations take collateral-free loans up to ₹1.60 lakh for activities like scientific land terracing, double cropping, farm mechanization and apiculture. The scheme is open for applications through the agriculture department in 2026.

Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojana (ANKY) was launched on 3 September 2021 by Chief Minister Pema Khandu to make the agriculture sector self reliant. The main aim is to raise farm output and improve farmer income through easy loans and front ended subsidy support. A state level committee led by the Chief Minister watches over the scheme and makes sure participating banks give eligible farmers smooth access to funds.

Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojana - Introduction

The scheme covers five separate sectors under one umbrella. These are Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojana (ANKY) for crops, Atma Nirbhar Bagwani Yojana (ANBY) for horticulture, Atma Nirbhar Plantation Yojana (ANPY), Atma Nirbhar Pashu Palan Yojana (ANPPY) for livestock and Atma Nirbhar Matsya Palan Yojana (ANMPY) for fisheries. Farmers can use the funds for scientific land terracing, double cropping, tea and rubber cultivation, farm mechanization, buckwheat and apiculture.

Loans are available without any collateral, which makes it easier for small farmers to start or improve their work. The scheme is run by the Agriculture and Marketing Department of Arunachal Pradesh, and the official portal is hosted by the state agriculture department. Applications are processed through district agriculture and horticulture offices.
