Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Swavalamban Yojana is a startup loan scheme being run by the state government of Arunachal Pradesh. Under the Swavalamban Yojana, the state government provides financial assistance in the form of subsidy on startup loans. The objective of the scheme is to encourage unemployed youth to gain access to low-cost capital for setting up of entrepreneurship.

Under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Swavalamban Yojana, the state government offers a 40% front-ended capital investment subsidy to entrepreneurs who wish to set up small and medium enterprises with a project cost between Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 50 lakh. The cost of land and building is not included in the project cost. Women entrepreneurs are eligible for an additional 5% interest subsidy annually, provided the loan does not become a Non Performing Asset (NPA).

The scheme is being run by the Department of Finance, Planning and Investment, Government of Arunachal Pradesh. It has already helped more than 500 startups across all districts of the state. Applications are now accepted online through the official DDUSY portal.

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Swavalamban Yojana applications can now be made online through the official portal. Below is the step by step guide on how to apply for the startup loan subsidy under the Swavalamban Yojana.

STEP 1: Visit the official DDUSY portal at https://ddusyarunachal.in/ and click on the Register option on the homepage.

STEP 2: Create an account by entering your name, email ID, phone number, username and password, then submit the registration form.

STEP 3: After registration, log in to the portal and fill the online application form. The form can be filled only after the applicant registers an account in the portal.

STEP 4: Prepare a detailed project report (DPR) for the eligible business activity and upload it along with the required documents.

STEP 5: Submit the application form online. All received applications are reviewed by the District Level Screening Committee (DLSC) and then forwarded to the State Level Screening Committee (SLSC) for final approval.

STEP 6: After approval from both the committees, the candidate can submit their loan proposal in any bank of the state.

Eligibility for Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Swavalamban Yojana

Unemployed youth of Arunachal Pradesh aged between 18 and 35 years can apply under the scheme. Applicants must be residents of the state and should hold a minimum qualification of Class 8. Preference is given to youth having a degree or diploma in tourism, hospitality, ITI or any other technical field related to fabrication, IT, mobile repairing, motor garage and similar areas.

• Food processing units in agriculture, horticulture and allied sectors, including packaging, cold chain, cold storage and milk processing.
• Setting up small scale manufacturing units, bamboo processing units, service centres and diagnostic centres.
• Eco-tourism projects including homestays and tour operators.
• Traditional textile weaving for modernisation of traditional looms and purchase of new looms to start new weaving units.
