It is a single place that helps organic farmers sell their produce and spreads awareness about organic farming and its benefits.

The portal works as an e-commerce as well as a knowledge platform. The knowledge section includes case studies, videos, best farming practices, success stories and other material related to organic farming. The e-commerce section offers a full range of organic products from grains, pulses, fruits and vegetables.

Buyers can get organic products delivered to their door step through the portal at much lower prices. Organic farmers work hard to produce these products and make them available for consumers through farm gate as well as door step delivery at very low prices compared to the market. The portal links many people involved, like regional councils, local groups, individual farmers, buyers, government agencies and input suppliers for the complete development and promotion of organic farming.

Through this portal, farmers get various price discovery options to get the best prices for their products through forward auction, price-quantity bidding, book building and reverse auction.

• Buyer Registration - A possible buyer can choose products without login, but when they are ready to buy a product, they must register or log in to the portal.

• Local Group Registration - A farmer group can register the whole group. The group leader should register using the Group Registration number. After registration, the group leader can upload products for himself or herself or on behalf of other farmers in the group.
• Input Supplier Registration - Input suppliers can also register on the portal.

Converting Chemical Farming to Organic Farming - 10 Points

Farmers can follow these 10 steps to change their farming process to organic farming:-

1. Use of pesticides, fertilizers and weedicides needs to be stopped.
2. Farmers must also stop using chemically treated seeds and GMO products.
3. Farmers must adopt either multiple cropping, inter cropping, crop rotation, agri plus horti plus forestry system, or trap crops.
4. Farmers must prepare their own compost using organic manures such as cow dung. For this, farmers will have to do seed treatment like Beejamrutham and waste decomposer. For soil nutrition, farmers can use panchgavya, jeevamrutham, biofertilizer, biopesticide and biological inputs. For plant growth, farmers can use AmrithPani, MatkhaKhadd and waste decomposer. For plant protection, farmers can use Neemastra, Brahmastra and Dashparni Extract.
5. Natural resources like compost, mulching, green manuring and household waste should be recycled.
6. Farmers should adopt animal husbandry (desi cattle), fisheries, poultry, goats and birds without the use of antibiotics, hormones and injections.
7. Farmers must begin using their own seeds and chemically untreated seeds.
8. Har Med Per Pedh - Farmers must use different kinds of nitrogen harvesting plants which will give natural predator, compost source, wind barrier and buffer zones.
9. The government must focus on stopping the burning of crop waste and start in-situ composting.
