Shrestha Gujarat Scheme in Gujarat Budget 2023-24
Finance Minister has presented Gujarat Budget 2023-24 on 24 February 2023. While presenting the Gujarat Budget 2023-24, FM said “A Shrestha Gujarat Scheme having multiple components, will be implemented over a period of 5 years at a cost of Rs. 4200 crore, with the loan and technical assistance of the World Bank. Quality certification of health services at all levels from sub centers to medical college, will be done under the scheme. A plan of action will be put in place through Laboratory Information Management System for early measures to be taken to prevent contagious disease. Diagnostic and treatment centers for noncontagious diseases like cancer and diabetes will be set up. A health review center for intensive online monitoring will also be established”.
