Punjab government is inviting Punjab SC Post Matric Scholarship Scheme 2024 online registration / application form at scholarships.punjab.gov.in (Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship Portal). While launching Post Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Caste students, CM has alleged that the central govt. has backstabbed SC students as it has ended post matric scholarship scheme for SC students. The new scheme will provide an opportunity to students from weaker sections to pursue higher learning in various streams which SC students have been deprived of due to withdrawal of scholarship scheme by the Centre.
The Punjab state govt. was in the process of recasting SC Post Matric Scholarship Scheme to ensure that no SC student is deprived of higher education. CM also reiterated his govt’s resolve to recruit 1 lakh youth in government jobs over next 1 and half year. Out of these, around 50,000 will be recruited till March 2023 and another 50,000 by end of its term.
Punjab SC Post Matric Scholarship Scheme 2024 Apply Online
Punjab government has launched SC Post Matric Scholarship Scheme 2024 and is inviting its online applications at scholarships.punjab.gov.in. The new apply online process for Post Matric Scholarship for scheduled caste students along with the notification and guidelines is present at Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship Portal.
The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the Scheduled Caste students studying at post matriculation or post-secondary stage to enable them to complete their education. This SC Post Matric Scholarship Scheme is available for studies in India and would be awarded by the Punjab government. The state govt. will transfer the amount directly into the bank accounts of the SC category students through direct benefit transfer (DBT) mode.
Freeship Card under Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC Students
The Punjab students studying in other states will also apply online for Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC Students. No offline form will be accepted. Government of India Guidelines will be applicable. scholarships.punjab.gov.in Portal is open for Students. Every SC Student (new / renewal) has to register for FREESHIP CARD. Dr Ambedkar Scholarship Portal is open for Institutes and line Departments. Institutes can register on the scholarship portal.
Freeship card scheme has been introduced to ease the difficulties of students for admission in different institutions. After obtaining the Freeship Card, the students become eligible for admission in any educational institution. Earlier, SC students faced various difficulties in getting admission. Educational institutions have been directed to forward complete cases of eligible SC and backward class (BC) students.
