Andhra Pradesh government continues to run YSR Law Nestham Scheme for junior advocates through the state Law Department, offering a monthly stipend of ₹5,000 to newly enrolled lawyers for three years after they start law practice. Registration and login are available at the official portal ysrlawnestham.e-pragati.in, and eligible advocates can apply during the fixed quarterly windows set for the scheme.
Scheme was originally launched on 3rd December 2019, on the occasion of National Lawyers Day, with each eligible junior advocate getting ₹60,000 a year, adding up to ₹1.8 lakh over three years. Since state government changed in June 2024, several YSR-prefixed welfare schemes such as Amma Vodi and Rythu Bharosa have been renamed by the new administration. As per the latest available records, Law Nestham Scheme is still running under its original name, though advocates are advised to confirm current status, name, and application dates on the official portal before applying, since welfare scheme names in the state have been changing.
