Eligibility
To be eligible for this award, an artisan needs to meet the following criteria:
- Should be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand.
- Should be a skilled artisan with at least 15 years of experience in a recognized traditional craft.

- Should be skilled in traditional or extraordinary art forms and have made a big contribution to the field.
- Should have actively helped in training young, aspiring artisans.

STEP 2 - Prepare the application along with all the required supporting documents.
STEP 3 - Submit the completed application form to the District Industries Centre of the district.
Selection Process:
A District-Level Selection Committee, chaired by the District Magistrate, reviews the applications first. They then forward the nominations of outstanding artisans to the State-Level Selection Committee, headed by the Principal Secretary of the MSME Department, for final selection.
