The scheme also gives a higher support rate to Scheduled Caste growers in the non-traditional region, who can get up to ₹ 2,00,000 per hectare for up to 5 hectares. This is meant for the economic uplift of small and poor rubber growers. All payments are made only through electronic transfer, so no cash is handed over.

For SC growers in the non-traditional region, the total support is ₹ 2,00,000 per hectare for up to 5 hectares, paid in four instalments over four years. This higher rate is meant to help poor and marginal growers from the Scheduled Caste community. All payments are made through direct electronic transfer to an Aadhaar-linked bank account.

Eligibility

To apply, you should meet the criteria given below for your region. The eligibility limit for the traditional region has been raised to 4.00 hectares for 2026-27.

Traditional Region (Kerala and Tamil Nadu): You should own rubber land not exceeding 4.00 hectares, with the planting support limited to 1.00 hectare. You must plant or replant at least 0.10 hectare of contiguous land and hold absolute ownership of the land. Paddy fields and forest land are not eligible for support.

Non-Traditional and North Eastern Region: You should own rubber land not exceeding 5.00 hectares, with the grant limited to 2.00 hectares of development. As in the traditional region, you must plant at least 0.10 hectare and hold absolute land rights. Paddy fields remain ineligible.

General Requirements: You should use certified planting materials and keep a minimum stand of about 450 plants per hectare. You may keep a small number of other trees, up to 20 non-rubber trees, 40 coconut palms or 80 arecanut palms per hectare. Sloppy land with a gradient steeper than 1 in 2 should be protected from soil erosion using contour bunds, silt trenches or cover crops.

Application Process

You can apply for the scheme online through the ServicePlus portal. The application window for each planting year is announced by the Rubber Board, and growers who miss the main window may get a short late window to submit their application.

STEP 1 - Go to the ServicePlus portal at serviceonline.gov.in and register yourself. Verify your email and mobile number using the OTP received.

STEP 2 - Login to the portal and select "Apply for Service" from the left menu.

STEP 3 - Choose "View All Available Services" and click on "RUBBER PLANTATION DEVELOPMENT SCHEME".

STEP 4 - Fill in the application form carefully, making sure every field marked with a red asterisk is complete. Upload the required documents along with the form.

STEP 5 - Submit your request and keep your Application ID safe for tracking the status. You can also access the service through the UMANG app.
