Benefits
Under the BLC component, eligible EWS families get central assistance of up to ₹1,50,000 per house to construct a new house or enhance an existing one. The money is paid in three installments through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), linked to the geo-tagged progress of construction at the layout, plinth, lintel, roof and completion stages.

Eligibility
To qualify for this assistance under PMAY-U 2.0, a family should meet the following criteria:
- The family should be a resident of Uttarakhand and live in a target urban area.
- The family should not own a pucca house anywhere in India. A beneficiary family means a husband, wife and unmarried children.
- The total annual family income should be up to ₹3 lakh for the EWS category.
- The family should not have received benefits under any other central or state housing scheme.
- The family should hold legal ownership documents for the land or the existing kutcha structure where the new house will be built.
Priority is given to widows, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, safai karmis, PM SVANidhi street vendors, PM Vishwakarma artisans and slum dwellers. The minimum carpet area of the house should be 30 square metres, extendable up to 45 square metres by the state.
