Benefits

Eligible applicants can receive a bank-linked loan of up to ₹25 lakh for manufacturing enterprises and up to ₹10 lakh for service and trade enterprises. The subsidy amount depends on the district category and the size of the project.

For Category A and B applicants, the subsidy is 30% (up to ₹60,000) for projects up to ₹2 lakh, 25% (up to ₹2.50 lakh) for projects above ₹2 lakh and up to ₹10 lakh, and 20% (up to ₹5 lakh) for projects above ₹10 lakh and up to ₹25 lakh.

For Category C and D applicants, the subsidy is 25% (up to ₹50,000) for projects up to ₹2 lakh, 20% (up to ₹2 lakh) for projects above ₹2 lakh and up to ₹10 lakh, and 15% (up to ₹3.75 lakh) for projects above ₹10 lakh and up to ₹25 lakh.

Eligible margin money is converted into a grant after the enterprise runs successfully for the prescribed period. General category applicants need to contribute 10% of the project cost, while eligible special category applicants contribute only 5%.

  • Applicant must be at least 18 years of age, with no upper age limit.
  • Applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand and hold a valid domicile certificate.
  • Applicant must not be a defaulter with any bank, cooperative bank, or government financial institution.
  • Only one member from a family can get the benefit. A family includes the husband, wife, and unmarried children below 21 years of age.
  • Applicant must not have received support under any similar Central or State self-employment scheme during the previous 5 financial years.

  • Category B includes Almora, Pauri Garhwal, hilly areas of Tehri Garhwal, Bhimtal, Dhari, Betalghat, Ramgarh, and Okhalkanda blocks of Nainital, and Chakrata block of Dehradun.
  • Category C includes plain areas of Tehri Garhwal, areas above 800 metres in the Raipur, Sahaspur, Vikasnagar, Kalsi, and Doiwala blocks of Dehradun, and Kotabagh block of Nainital.
