Gramodhyog Vikas Kendra is a Gujarat state scheme that helps registered NGOs, cooperative societies, and trusts set up Common Facility Centers for village artisans. The scheme offers financial support of up to ₹13,00,000 per unit to build infrastructure, buy tools, arrange training, and cover working capital needs.
The scheme is run by Commissioner of Cottage and Rural Industries under the Industries and Mines Department, Government of Gujarat. Applications are accepted online through the e-Kutir portal at e-kutir.gujarat.gov.in. As of August 2026, the scheme continues to accept applications from eligible village-level organizations.
Gramodhyog Vikas Kendra - Introduction
Gramodhyog Vikas Kendra is a supportive scheme launched in 2002 by the Industries and Mines Department, Government of Gujarat. It was formed by merging two older schemes, Gramodyog Sankul Yojana and the Common Work Shed Scheme, which had some problems in their rollout. The scheme boosts the livelihood of local artisans by giving them better working environments at the village level through Common Facility Centers.
Registered non-governmental organizations, cooperative societies, and registered trusts can get 100% support under this scheme. To take part, an organization should have 2 to 3 years of active experience and own a non-agricultural land parcel of 1000 to 1200 square feet. The scheme is managed by Commissioner of Cottage and Rural Industries, and applications are submitted online through the e-Kutir portal.
