Eligibility

Important Note: Each institute can submit up to 5 proposals per year, including those previously sanctioned or incomplete. However, AICTE will approve a maximum of 3 proposals per institute.
Application Process
Host institutions need to apply online through the AICTE Partner Portal. The steps are given below.
STEP 1 - Visit the AICTE Partner Portal at portal.aicte.gov.in and log in with the credentials provided by AICTE. New institutes must first register by clicking the 'New Institute' button and completing the sign-up process.
STEP 2 - After logging in, go to the 'AQIS Application' screen. Institute details will auto populate, and demographic and bank details need to be filled in. The 'New' button becomes active only after bank details are confirmed.
STEP 3 - Click 'New' to create an AQIS application. A unique AQIS Application ID will be created. Select 'SHORT TERM TRAINING PROGRAMME (STTP) (UT-J&K, LADAKH AND NER)' from the scheme dropdown.
STEP 4 - Fill in all required fields, including program details, budget estimates, academic credentials of the coordinator and justification. Attach the required Mandate Form after downloading the sample form.
STEP 5 - Validate the application, read the declaration, check it and click 'Save'. Finally, click 'Submit' to send the application to AICTE.
For teachers who want to attend the program, the process has two stages:
STAGE 1 - The college or university must first submit a proposal to host the session through the AICTE portal. The proposal covers the chosen topic, objectives, resource persons, budget and participant details.
STAGE 2 - Once the proposal is approved, individual faculty members can apply through the institution's internal mechanism using their biodata, CV and statement of purpose.
Documents
Institutions must submit the following documents within one month of program completion:
- Expenditure statement - original statement of actual expenditure and use certificate signed by the head of the institution and countersigned by the registrar, finance officer or government auditor.
- Feedback form - in the prescribed format as given by AICTE.
- Completion report - a copy of the proceedings and the completion report of the program.
Individual teachers should keep the following ready for their application:
- Duly filled application form.
- Recent photograph and detailed biodata.
- Curriculum vitae showing teaching experience and qualifications.
