What is MP Mukhyamantri Khet Suraksha Yojana 2024
As you all know that farmers of the country suffers from crop losses due to attack of wild animals on the crops. But farmers are unable to get their fencing done due to high expenditure. Wild and stray animals cause a lot of damage to the farmer’s crops. But now farmers will be able to keep their fields safe by getting subsidy on wire fencing under MP Mukhyamantri Khet Suraksha Yojana.
Every year, around 40% of the crops in fields are wasted due to attack by wild animals and stray animals. Wild and stray animals on entering the fields causes great damage to crops. which enter the fields and cause great damage to the crops.
Need for MP Wire Fencing Subsidy Scheme
Although farmers take many measures to prevent wild and stray animals from entering their fields, but as of now, there is no exact solution to tackle this problem. In such a situation, an important initiative namely MP Mukhyamantri Khet Suraksha Yojana to provide subsidy on wire fencing has been taken by the government of Madhya Pradesh.
Now the Horticulture Department of the MP State Government will provide subsidy to the farmers for getting the wire fencing of the fields done under the MP Wire Fencing Subsidy Scheme. With this CM Khet Suraksha Scheme, farmers will be able to protect their crops to a great extent.
The decision to start MP Mukhyamantri Khet Suraksha Yojana is taken after observing that about 5 lakh farmers sow horticulture crops on 22 lakh hectares of land in the state, but they are not able to earn suitable money. It is because 15 lakh hectares of crops are destroyed by the stray animals.
1st Phase of Mukhyamantri Khet Suraksha Yojana
Madhya Pradesh govt’s Department of Horticulture will provide a subsidy of 50% to 70% for chain fencing or wire fencing of the fields. In the Mukhyamantri Khet Suraksha Yojana 1st phase, around 20 blocks have been selected, as models for the implementation of horticulture schemes. If the result of this MP Wire Fencing Subsidy Scheme is good, then it will be implemented across the entire Madhya Pradesh state.
At present, the proposal for MP CM Khet Suraksha Scheme has been approved by the government. The implementation work on MP Wire Fencing Subsidy Scheme will be started in the next 2 months. The state govt. claims that Madhya Pradesh has become the first state in the country, where 50% to 70% subsidy will be provided to the farmers by the state government for wire fencing.
