The kitchens are usually set up at railway stations, bus stands, hospitals, markets and government buildings. Local institutions and NGOs run the kitchens with the support of the urban local bodies. The district-level committee keeps a regular check on the quality of food.

Food Items in Shree Annapurna Rasoi Yojana
The plate served under the scheme now carries more food than before. The menu has been updated to give a balanced and filling meal to every person. It includes the following items:-

Earlier Indira Rasoi Yojana
Indira Rasoi Yojana was launched on 20 August 2020 by the then Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. It started with 358 kitchens in all 213 urban bodies of the state. In the budget 2022-23, the number of kitchens was increased to 1,000. The scheme was named after former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
In the budget 2023-24, the government announced plans to expand the scheme to rural towns and raise the number of kitchens to 2,000. After the change of government, the scheme was renamed Shree Annapurna Rasoi Yojana and continues to serve meals at Rs. 8 per plate.

हम दोनों 70 वर्षीय युगल है आज हमारे यहां खाना बनाने वाली नहीं आई इसलिए मैंने सोचा कि क्यों ना इतनी प्रशंसा वाली रसोई मैं खाना खाया जाए मैं मानसरोवर में मध्यम मार्ग बीटी रोड क्रॉसिंग वाली रसोई पर गया वहां देखा दाल में एक दाना दाल का नहीं था आलू की सब्जी में पूरी सब्जी में मुश्किल से एक 50 ग्राम कालू होगा रोटियों के बारे में मैं ज्यादा कुछ नहीं कह सकता मैंने वहां पर लिखे हुए रसोई अधिकारी से बात करने के प्रयास किया दो बार प्रयास करने पर और पूरी घंटे देने के बाद भी उसने फोन नहीं उठाया अभी मैं पढ़ रहा था कि सरकार ₹17 सब्सिडी दे रही है सारा खाना मैं सोचता हूं कि ₹8 से ज्यादा का नहीं था यह भी मैं अधिकतम मूल्य दे रहा हूं ऐसे में सरकार के सारे प्रयास नीचे स्तर पर जाकर जीरो हो जाते हैं राजस्थान मैं राजस्थान सरकार की इस योजना का स्वागत करता हूं किंतु कंप्लायंस को इंश्योर करना चाहिए जो भी अधिकारी है उन्हें यह बात माननी चाहिए कि सरकार इतना पैसा खर्च करना चाहती है पर कुछ हो नहीं रहा है इतनी स्कीमों को सुनकर मैं इस बार सोच रहा था कि इस सरकार को दोबारा आना चाहिए सरकार अपनी इस टीम से कंप्लायंस नहीं करवा पा रही है मेरा बेटा हैदराबाद में करीब 250 लोगों को रोज खाना खिलाता है केवल ₹10 चार्ज करता है और उसे वह खाना करीब ₹25 का पड़ता है वह मेरे पिताजी की याद में यह काम कर रहा है खाना इतना अच्छा होता है कि आसपास में आईटी प्रोफेशनल व अन्य व्यक्ति जैसे सोसाइटी में जहां मेरा बच्चा रहता है वहां रहने वाले कई बार अपने घर में खाना ना बनाकर वहां से खाना मंगाते हैं इस आधार पर मैं बड़ी आसानी से कह सकता हूं कि खाना इतना महंगा नहीं पड़ता जितना कि इंदिरा रसोई में ₹8 में तथा ₹ ₹17 की सब्सिडी में इतना अच्छा खाना खिलाया जा सकता है कि अगले चुनाव में कांग्रेसका आना निश्चित हो सकता है यह सब मैंने बोलकर लिखा है इसलिए गलती के लिए लिए मुझे माफ करें

और स्वयं कार्यकर्ता खुद ही सब्जी व रोटी बचा लेते है अपने लिए और पब्लिक से बोलते है की खाना खत्म हो गया है ।
