Madhya Pradesh government is running Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidhyarti Yojana through the MMVY portal, and the official dashboard was live on 02 August 2026. Students who passed Class 12 with high marks can use this scheme for college fee payment in approved courses.
Official MMVY pages show the main eligibility line as 70% or more in MP Board Class 12 or 85% or more in CBSE or ICSE, with family income below ₹8 lakh a year. A 14 June 2025 corrigendum also changed the medical course rules, so the old version of this article needed a full refresh.
Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidhyarti Yojana 2026 Apply Online, Eligibility and Fees Covered
MMVY is for Madhya Pradesh students who take admission in approved graduate, integrated and some diploma level courses after Class 12. Official pages show engineering, law, medical and many government college courses on the scheme portal, along with course and institute lists.
Portal access is live, but the latest visible registration notice on the official MMVY registration page is for academic session 2025-26. Because of that, students should use the live registration, login and application status pages given below and also check the course list before filling the form.
One more important point. An older process PDF and old question document still show past rules like ₹6 lakh income and the old scholarshipportal.mp.nic.in route, but the official About page and the newer 14 June 2025 corrigendum show the updated position used in this article. That is why the broken old portal link has been removed here.
How to apply online for MMVY
STEP 1 - Open the MMVY registration page and enter the 9 digit Samagra ID. The official page says Madhya Pradesh residents can check their eligibility there and complete new registration for the session shown on the portal.
STEP 2 - After registration, go to the MMVY apply and login page. Log in with the user ID and password generated after registration and fill the application form with course, institute, bank and personal details.
STEP 3 - Upload the required documents and submit the form. As per the official process note, the institute checks the application against original documents, fee details and bank details before forwarding the case for approval and payment.
STEP 4 - After submission, use the Track Your MMVY Application page to check progress. Students should also review the official course and institute list before choosing a course.

Who can apply
Students must be permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh. The official About page says family income should be below ₹8 lakh a year, and the Class 12 marks condition remains 70% or more for MP Board students and 85% or more for CBSE or ICSE students.
Engineering students can get support when their JEE Mains rank is within 1,50,000 and they take admission in the approved course setup under the scheme. Law students can get support for National Law Universities and Delhi University through the CLAT or the listed entrance route.
Medical course rules need extra attention. The official About page lists MBBS and BDS in government medical or dental colleges, and private MBBS colleges in Madhya Pradesh. The 14 June 2025 corrigendum specifically revised MBBS fee support and says the new medical rule applies from academic session 2025-26, so students in medical courses should read that order carefully before applying.
Fees covered under the scheme
MMVY pays the admission fee and actual tuition fee of the approved course, but it does not pay mess charges or caution money. For government engineering colleges, the scheme covers the full fee. For private engineering colleges, support is up to ₹1.50 lakh or the actual tuition fee, whichever is lower.
For many government and grant-in-aid colleges in Madhya Pradesh, approved graduate courses are covered when they match the portal list. The official course page also shows a wide range of degree and diploma options, so students should always match their exact course and institute name before submitting the form.
Students who are also looking at another merit based education scheme in the state can check MP Laptop Yojana for a separate one time laptop support route in Madhya Pradesh.
Required documents
Keep these papers ready before starting the form. The old question document and process note both point to basic academic, identity and income papers, and the portal process also needs bank and fee details for checking.
- Madhya Pradesh residence proof and Samagra ID details for identity and state check.
- Class 12 mark sheet, and entrance exam details like JEE Mains, NEET or CLAT where the course needs them.
- Income certificate, Aadhaar card, bank account details and institute fee receipts or fee structure details.
Important points for 2026
Official MMVY pages were live on 02 August 2026, which shows the scheme portal is still running. At the same time, the latest visible new registration text on the registration page is still marked for session 2025-26. So students should follow the live portal pages instead of relying on copied third party steps.
Another material change is the 14 June 2025 corrigendum for MBBS support. It says MBBS students in Madhya Pradesh government medical colleges get fee support equal to the notified maximum fee, and any remaining amount needed for full fee payment can be given as an interest free loan under the order, linked to the rural service condition mentioned in that corrigendum.
The older scholarshipportal.mp.nic.in route is not working now. This article now uses the working MMVY portal links only, including registration, login, course list, status check and support page.
