Only families that meet the conditions given below can get the benefit of this scheme. The rules are set by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of Haryana.
- Any family where the biological single parent or parents are domicile of Haryana or working for the Government of Haryana and have no son, biological or adopted, but only daughter or daughters, is eligible to get the benefit.
- The gross annual income from all sources of the family must not exceed Rs. 2,00,000 to be eligible for the benefit under this scheme.
- The eligible family gets the benefit for a period of 15 years from the date either of the two parents completes 45 years of age. The benefit is paid to the mother, if she is surviving. In case the mother is not surviving, the benefit is paid to the father.
