Work for Viksit Bharat registrations for new jobs are now open at workforbharat.niti.gov.in portal. NITI Aayog has started this new Work for Viksit Bharat portal to bring talented professionals into India’s national development work. If you want to work on big government projects, you can now register online at workforbharat.niti.gov.in and apply for roles in fields like economics, IT, big data, infrastructure, climate change, and more.
As on 8th August, about 433,723 registrations have already been done and 36,862 profiles have been submitted on the portal.
What is Work for Viksit Bharat Portal?
Work for Viksit Bharat portal is a new platform by NITI Aayog to hire skilled people for different government projects and policy-making roles. The goal is to include the best talent in areas like big data, economics, science, education, IT, energy, law, climate change, rural development, and more. Anyone who wants to help build a better India can use this portal to find and apply for jobs that match their interest and education.
This portal is part of India’s Viksit Bharat vision, offering jobs to both young and experienced professionals. You can apply for posts such as Young Professional, Consultant Grade 1, Consultant Grade 2, and Senior Consultant. Along with the new job portal, the government also launched the PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) to support job creation in India. The scheme aims to help create over 3.5 crore new jobs by 2027, with a special focus on new workers. PM-VBRY has a budget of Rs 99,446 crore and covers jobs created between August 2025 and July 2027.

How to Register on Work for Viksit Bharat Portal
If you want to apply for any of the jobs, follow these steps for a Work for Viksit Bharat portal registration process:
Step 1: Candidate Registration
Go to workforbharat.niti.gov.in portal
Click on Join Niti Aayog and then click on “Register Now” on the next page.
New user registration form will open as below, enter your name (as per Class 10 certificate), email, and mobile number and date of birth.
Set a password (at least one letter, one capital, one number, one special character, and minimum 8 characters) and click on “Register Now“.
Step 2: Complete Your Profile
- Log in with your registered email and password
- Fill personal details: DOB, parent/guardian name, permanent and current address, PIN code
- Select your area of expertise and known languages
- Choose your area of interest from the dropdown list
- Add your education details from 10th onwards (mark-sheets, certificates in PDF, 50KB–500KB each)
- Upload documents: recent photo (JPG/PNG), signature (JPG/PNG), resume (PDF), salary slip (PDF), address proof (Aadhaar/PAN/Driving Licence/Passport, PDF), and Aadhaar card (PDF)
Step 3: Add Experience Details
- List your work experience in order, with proper employer details, period, post, and duties
- Add experience certificates for each job (PDF)
- No overlapping work periods allowed
- For PhD holders, up to 3 years counted as work experience (if no job in that period)
Step 4: Submit Sector-wise Experience
Enter experience for special sectors (Govt, Rural, North East, NITI, UN, World Bank, etc.) if any
Step 5: Final Submission
- Upload all documents as required
- Answer YES/NO to simple questions about any criminal case, court conviction, financial obligations, or conflict of interest
- Agree to all undertakings and submit your profile
- You will get a unique NITI registration ID – save this for future use. This works as your application for jobs.

- Young professionals with at least 1 year of experience (age up to 32 years)
- Consultants with 8-15 years of experience (age up to 50 years)
