Uttar Pradesh government is running Atmanirbhar Krishak Samanvit Vikas Yojana to raise farmer income across the state, with a total outlay of around ₹1,220.92 crore planned between FY 2022-23 and FY 2031-32. Around 1,475 Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) are being formed under this Uttar Pradesh government scheme, one in almost every development block of the state.
Cabinet led by CM Yogi Adityanath cleared this self-reliant farmer integrated development scheme on 3 December 2021, mainly to support wheat, sugarcane, maize and jowar growers. Main aim is simple: help farmers earn more from their land and get their produce paid for faster through organised FPOs.
Atmanirbhar Krishak Samanvit Vikas Yojana 2026
There is no separate apply online form for individual farmers under this scheme. FPOs get formed at the block level with support from NABARD, NAFED, SFAC and NCDC, and farmers of that area become members of their local FPO. Farmers can check updates related to the scheme and their block's FPO status on the official portal at upagripardarshi.gov.in.
Since 2025, Farmer ID under the UP Agristack project has become required for most farm scheme benefits in the state, including PM Kisan installments. Farmers who have not yet got their 12-digit Farmer ID can register on upfr.agristack.gov.in or through the local Lekhpal or nearest Common Service Centre, this ID now works as a base document for FPO membership and other farm scheme benefits too.

2026 Budget and FPO Update
Uttar Pradesh budget for 2026-27 has set aside ₹10,888 crore for agriculture and allied schemes, with wider support for FPOs, micro-irrigation and natural farming compared to previous years. This scheme continues alongside the central Formation and Promotion of 10,000 FPOs scheme, and the state's target remains one FPO in each of its 826 blocks over five years.
Farmers linked to a formed FPO get support for input supply, storage, marketing and better price discovery for their crops. Local agriculture department officials and FPO cell staff coordinate block-wise progress, so timelines can differ from one district to another.
Agriculture Infrastructure Fund Link
This scheme also works toward using the ₹12,000 crore allotted to Uttar Pradesh by the central government under Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), approved by the union cabinet on 8 July 2020. AIF gives medium to long-term loans for post-harvest management infrastructure and community farming assets, with interest subvention of 3 percent per year up to a limit of ₹2 crore, available for a maximum of seven years.
Loans under AIF go to Primary Agricultural Credit Societies, Marketing Cooperative Societies, FPOs, Self Help Groups, farmers, joint liability groups, multipurpose cooperative societies, agri-entrepreneurs and startups.
