Eligibility
Applicants should check these conditions before applying to see if they qualify for the pension:
- Residence - Applicant should be a permanent resident of Tripura.
- Disability - Applicant should be a person with a certified disability of 60% or above, as per the scheme details. A valid disability certificate from a recognized medical authority is required.
- Income - Total annual family income should not be more than ₹1,00,000 (₹1 lakh).
- Age - Applicant should be at least 10 years old.
- School admission - If the family has children in the age group of 6 to 14 years, they should be enrolled in a school recognized by the Government of Tripura.

Note: The pension stops if the person passes away, a family member gets a government job, annual family income crosses ₹1,00,000, or any exclusion condition applies.
Exclusions
These conditions will make an applicant ineligible for this pension:
- Income taxpayer - People who pay income tax cannot apply.
- Government employee - Anyone serving as a government employee is not eligible.
- Another category of the same scheme - Families already getting pension under any other category of Mukhyamantri Samajik Sahayata Prakalpa (except the infirm and persons with disability categories) cannot apply again.
- Other state pensions - People already getting a pension under the National Social Assistance Program (NSAP) or any of the 32 state social pension schemes are not eligible.
Application Process
Applications are accepted only through the offline process. There is no separate online application portal for this pension.
Offline
STEP 1 - Visit the office of the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) of your area and collect a free hard copy of the application form. The same form can be downloaded and printed from the official website.
STEP 2 - Fill in all the required details, sign the form where needed, and attach self-attested copies of the required documents.
STEP 3 - Submit the completed form and documents to the CDPO office under which your residence falls.
STEP 4 - Ask for a receipt or acknowledgement at the time of submission. The receipt should mention the date, time and a unique identification number.
Post-selection requirement - Selected people have to submit their life certificate and income certificate to the CDPO every year in November.

- Income certificate - Issued by the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM). BPL families may not need a separate income certificate.
