Mukhya Mantri Krishak Samriddhi Yojana was run by Madhya Pradesh government to give farmers a cash bonus over the Minimum Support Price on crops sold at procurement centres and Mandis. Farmers registered on the e-Uparjan portal got ₹200 to ₹265 per quintal, depending on the crop and season.

Note: Scheme has been closed or it was a one time scheme which has been closed by the government. Bonus payment under this scheme covered only the Kharif 2016, Rabi 2016-17 and Rabi 2017-18 seasons, and the last sale window ended on 9 June 2018. No fresh application or new bonus round is open as on 04 August 2026. Farmers looking for current support should check the running crop and procurement schemes on the Madhya Pradesh Kisan portal.

Mukhya Mantri Krishak Samriddhi Yojana Details

Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development Department, Madhya Pradesh ran this scheme to pay farmers extra money on top of the price they got in the Mandi. Cost of growing the crop, the quality of grain and the quantity sold decided the bonus amount.

Payment came straight to the bank account through RTGS or NEFT. No cash, no middleman. Farmers who sold wheat, paddy, gram, lentil or mustard within the fixed dates and had their sale entry recorded on the e-Uparjan portal got the money after district level checking.

Simple idea, really. Sell at a recognised centre, keep the Mandi slip, and the bonus reaches your account later.

Bonus Amount Per Quintal

Bonus rate was not the same for every crop. It changed with the season and the type of grain, as given below.

Crop Season Crop Bonus Per Quintal
Kharif 2016 Paddy ₹200
Rabi 2016-17 Wheat ₹200
Rabi 2017-18 Wheat ₹265
Rabi 2017-18 Gram, Lentil, Mustard ₹100

One point mattered a lot here. Bonus was paid even if the Mandi rate went below the Minimum Support Price. So a farmer selling wheat in the Rabi 2017-18 window earned ₹265 extra on every quintal, whatever the day rate was.

Who Could Apply

Rules were kept short so that small farmers could also take the benefit without running around offices.

  • Farmer had to be a resident of Madhya Pradesh and registered for crop sale in the state.
  • Registration on the e-Uparjan portal was required before the sale, since the bonus was worked out from portal records.
  • Crop sold had to be one of the notified ones, that is paddy, wheat, gram, lentil or mustard for the given season.
  • Sale had to happen inside the dates fixed for that season at a Mandi or government procurement centre.
  • Quantity counted for bonus was limited to the production capacity checked against land records.

Documents Required

Papers needed were the usual ones kept by every farmer for procurement work.

  • Aadhaar card of the farmer, linked with the bank account for DBT payment.
  • Bank passbook or account details in the name of the same farmer.
  • Land records or khasra copy showing the year of cultivation.
  • Mandi entry slip with date, quantity sold and the commodity sequence number.
  • Working mobile number for message alerts about payment.

Application Process That Was Followed

There was no separate application form for the bonus. Money moved on the basis of sale records, and these were the steps.

STEP 1 - Farmer first registered on the e-Uparjan portal of Madhya Pradesh with Aadhaar number, land details, bank account and mobile number, and got a registration slip from the nearest registration centre.

STEP 2 - After harvest, the crop was taken to a notified Mandi or a government procurement centre inside the sale window fixed for that season, and the sale was recorded in the system.

STEP 3 - Farmer collected the Mandi entry slip showing date, quantity and commodity code, and kept it safe as proof of sale.

STEP 4 - District Level Committee checked the sale data, land records and bank details, and removed entries where the quantity crossed the checked production capacity.

STEP 5 - After approval, the bonus amount was sent to the bank account through RTGS or NEFT, and a message was sent on the registered mobile number.
