Central government's Startup Accelerator of MeitY for Product Innovation, Development and Growth, known as the Samridh Scheme, supports startups and entrepreneurs in their early and risk-heavy phase. The scheme is run by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) through its MeitY Start-up Hub (MSH).

By early February 2026, the Samridh Scheme had supported 373 startups with over Rs 93.75 crore in funding. This article explains the details of the scheme, including its benefits, funding support and how startups can apply.

What is MeitY Samridh Scheme 2026

Startups and entrepreneurs face a number of problems in their initial phase, from turning an idea into a real product to gathering the right skills. To address this, the Union government launched the Samridh Scheme in 2021. It helps startups grow by giving them funding support, mentorship and access to investors and markets.

The scheme works through selected accelerators. These accelerators pick startups that are ready for the acceleration stage and help them scale their business. The programme focuses on high-impact sectors such as Health-tech, Ed-tech, Agri-tech, Consumer-tech, Fin-tech, Software as a Service (SaaS) and sustainability.
