Rail SAARTHI Mobile App Download - Ticket Booking & Train Running Status

Indian Railways introduced the Rail SAARTHI mobile app to bring all railway services, including ticket booking, enquiry, on-board cleaning and meal ordering, onto a single platform. The app, whose full name is Synergised Advanced Application Rail Travel Help and Information, was developed by CRIS (Centre for Railway Information Systems) to make travel easier for passengers.

Rail SAARTHI has now been replaced by the RailOne super app. Indian Railways has moved all its public facing services into RailOne, which is designed, hosted and maintained by CRIS. The old UTS app for unreserved tickets was discontinued from 1 March 2026, and passengers now use RailOne for booking both reserved and unreserved tickets, tracking trains, ordering food and raising complaints.

Introduction to Rail SAARTHI Mobile App

Rail SAARTHI was built to combine the many separate railway apps into one place. Earlier, passengers had to download a different app for each service, such as IRCTC Rail Connect for reserved tickets, UTS for unreserved tickets, NTES for train running status and IRCTC Air for flight booking. Rail SAARTHI brought these services together so that a passenger could manage the whole journey from a single window.

The app also offered safety features for women, a complaint facility and a place to give suggestions. It carried details about train running delays, ticketing and timings. Passengers could even book flight tickets, taxis and hotels through it, and give feedback on the service.

With the launch of RailOne, these services have now moved to the new super app. RailOne is the one stop solution for all public facing services of Indian Railways and brings together booking, live train tracking, coach position, food ordering, refunds and complaint help under one platform.

Key Features of RailOne Super App

RailOne offers a range of tools to make train travel easier. The main features are listed below.

• Live train tracking to see the real time location of a train and plan arrival and departure times.
• Seamless booking of reserved and unreserved tickets with a simple interface, along with R-Wallet for one tap payments.
• Easy and secure login using mPIN and biometric authentication.
• Coach position finder to know where a coach will stop on the platform before the train arrives.
• Order food onboard and get fresh meals delivered to the seat.
• RailMadad to raise and track complaints directly with Indian Railways.
• Refund requests for cancelled or missed journeys, with bilingual support in English and Hindi.

How to Download RailOne App

RailOne is available on both Android and iOS. The steps to download the app are given below.

STEP 1 - Open the Google Play Store on an Android phone or the App Store on an iPhone.

STEP 2 - Search for RailOne, or open the official RailOne page at railone.indianrailways.gov.in and use the Play Store or App Store link given there.

STEP 3 - Click on INSTALL and wait for the app to download and install on the phone.

STEP 4 - Open the app, log in with the mobile number and set up the mPIN to start booking tickets and tracking trains.
