26 September 2025 Update: 21st Installment Released for Flood-Affected States
On 26th September 2025, Union Agriculture Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan released the 21st installment of PM-KISAN via video conferencing, focusing on farmers of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Uttarakhand hit by recent floods and landslides.
More than ₹540 crore has been directly transferred to the bank accounts of over 27 lakh farmers, including about 2.7 lakh women farmers. Each eligible farmer received ₹2,000, helping them with immediate household needs, seeds, and fertilizers for the next sowing season.
With this release, the total transfer under PM-KISAN since 2019 has crossed ₹13,626 crore in these three states.
- Himachal Pradesh: 8,01,045 farmers, ₹160.21 crore
- Punjab: 11,09,895 farmers, ₹221.98 crore
- Uttarakhand: 7,89,128 farmers, ₹157.83 crore
This special release comes in addition to earlier relief packages of ₹1500 crore for Himachal Pradesh, ₹1600 crore for Punjab, and ₹1200 crore for Uttarakhand announced by the Prime Minister.

PM Kisan 20th Installment Released
On 2nd August 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 20th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Over ₹20,500 crore was transferred directly to the bank accounts of more than 9.7 crore farmers across India. With this, the total benefit given to farmers since the launch of the scheme has crossed ₹3.75 lakh crore.
