Karnataka government is developing a mobile app that will let citizens book appointments with Chief Minister, ministers and officials whose offices are located in Vidhana Soudha and Vikasa Soudha. The two buildings together house more than 600 rooms and most of the state government departments.

Getting an appointment at these large premises is being made easier. The app is planned to work like a navigator, helping visitors find offices and check who is available on a particular day before they travel to Bengaluru.

CM and Ministers Appointment Booking App

The plan was first announced in November 2025. Assembly Speaker U T Khader said a dedicated mobile application is being developed that will hold details of offices at the two Soudhas so that visitors do not get confused inside these big buildings. Citizens will be able to:

  • Check availability of ministers and officials on specific days, including travel updates.
  • Locate room numbers and floors of the offices they want to visit.
  • Book appointments directly through the app.
  • Plan their visit in advance instead of waiting at the gate.

The concept of a mobile app for a government building that houses important offices, including those of the Chief Minister and other ministers, is said to be first of its kind in the country.

Latest Status in 2026

In June 2026, Karnataka Legislative Assembly signed a Memorandum of Understanding with National Informatics Centre (NIC) to develop the National e-Vidhan application to digitise the working of the Assembly and Council. Under this plan, two kiosks will be placed on each floor of Vidhana Soudha to help people locate offices of ministers and different departments.

Entry to these premises has also become digital. Visitors can now apply online for a pass to enter Vidhana Soudha and Vikasa Soudha through Karnataka One app, instead of collecting a physical pass from the reception centres. More details about government offices and departments are available on the official Karnataka government portal.
