Funding and Implementation

A State Level Empowered Committee, a District Level Vigilance and Monitoring Committee, a District Level Planning and Implementation Committee and a State and District Level Committee are responsible for monitoring the scheme. The central Ujjwala scheme did not cover all eligible families in Karnataka. Only about 6 to 7 lakh families had taken the benefit of Ujjwala, which was not enough compared to the requirement.
