Haryana Government has launched Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana to give direct financial help to women of the state. The scheme’s start date is 25 September 2025 and provides ₹2100 per month to eligible women through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
This scheme is a big step to make women financially independent and give them a secure monthly income. But not everyone can apply. The government has released the official notification with eligibility rules, ineligibility conditions, and strict guidelines to run the scheme smoothly.
If you are planning to apply, read this article carefully to understand who can apply, who cannot apply, and what important rules you must follow.
Eligibility Criteria for Lado Lakshmi Yojana
To get benefits under this scheme, a woman must meet the following conditions:
- Age Requirement: She must be 23 years or above at the time of application and maximum age limit is 60 years.
- Income Limit: Her family’s annual income should not be more than ₹1 lakh, as verified from the Family Information Database (FIDR).
- Residency Rule: She must be a resident of Haryana for at least 15 years, or in case she is married into Haryana from other state, her husband should be a resident for the same period.
- Bank Account: She must have her own bank account linked with Aadhaar for DBT.
Good news is that there is no restriction on the number of women from one family. If more than one woman meets these conditions, all of them can apply and get benefits.
Who Cannot Apply (Ineligibility Conditions)
The government has also listed cases where women cannot apply under this scheme. You are not eligible if:
- You are already receiving financial support under schemes like:
- Old Age Samman Allowance
- Widow and Destitute Women Support
- Ladli Social Security Allowance
- Divyang (Disabled Persons) Support
- Acid Attack Victim Support
- Widower and Unmarried Persons Scheme 2023
- Haryana Gaurav Samman Scheme for Padma Awardees
- Any other social security schemes already notified.
- (Exception: You can still apply if you are getting medical support like Cancer Stage III & IV aid, Rare Disease support, or Thalassemia, Haemophilia and Sickle Cell Anemia aid).
- You are employed in any government job (regular, contract, part-time) and family income is above the limit.
- You or your family receive any other financial support or pension from a government body.
- You are an income tax payer.
Important Rules of Lado Lakshmi Yojana
Apart from eligibility, the scheme has some important rules that every applicant must follow:
- Monthly Liveness Check: After registration, women must complete a face authentication (liveness detection) every month through the Lado Lakshmi App to continue receiving money.
- Bank Account Rules: If payment fails two months in a row due to wrong account details, the money will stop until the correct details are updated.
- False Information: If a woman gives wrong information and gets money, the amount will be recovered with 12% yearly interest. In some cases, civil imprisonment can also happen.
- Payment on Death: If a beneficiary dies, the last payment will be given for the full month of death, but after that the benefit will stop.
- Automatic Transfer: When a woman reaches old age or becomes a widow, her name will automatically be shifted to other related pension schemes if she meets the conditions.
Why Eligibility Rules Are Strict
The government has made these rules to make sure that only genuine poor women get the money. With a fixed income limit, Aadhaar verification, and PPP database checks, the scheme avoids misuse and directly benefits those who really need financial support.
