Gujarat Karmayogi Swasthya Suraksha Yojana 2025, also called Karmayogi Health Security Scheme, has been launched on 22 September 2025. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched it as a special gift to government employees and pensioners on the first day of Sharadiya Navratri. This scheme will provide cashless medical treatment up to ₹10 lakh per year to families of govt employees & pensioners (G-Category).

Under the Gujarat Swasthya Suraksha Yojana, more than 6.4 lakh people will be covered, including 4.2 lakh government employees and 2.2 lakh pensioners. The scheme is fully funded by the Gujarat state government, costing ₹303.3 crore annually, with a yearly premium of ₹3,708 per family, paid by the government itself.

Application Form & Enrollment Process for Gujarat Karmayogi Swasthya Suraksha Yojana

Beneficiaries do not need to fill any separate application form for this scheme. The enrollment is done automatically by the State Health Agency.

STEP 1: Government employees and pensioners are directly included under the scheme.

STEP 2: Each beneficiary family receives a special “G” series Ayushman Bharat PMJAY-MAA card.

STEP 3: With this card, cashless treatment can be taken in government, equivalent and PMJAY-empanelled hospitals across the state.

STEP 4: No extra application at department level is required, only the card is needed at the time of treatment.

Eligibility for Scheme

The following groups are eligible for Gujarat Karmayogi Swasthya Suraksha Yojana:

  • All state government officers.
  • Government employees (including All India Services officers) working in Gujarat.
  • Pensioners of Gujarat.
  • Dependents of employees and pensioners.

Not covered: Pensioners above 70 years who are already getting benefits under Vaya vandana Yojana are not eligible for benefits under this scheme.

Benefits of Scheme

  • Cashless treatment up to ₹10 lakh per family per year in empanelled hospitals.
  • Coverage includes both employees and pensioners along with their dependents.
  • No need to pay premium; state government bears full cost.
  • New 94 emergency ambulances also launched under this scheme to strengthen health services.
  • Even after this, the existing monthly medical allowance of ₹1,000 will continue.
  • For cases beyond ₹10 lakh or treatments outside empanelled hospitals, reimbursement will be given as per Gujarat State Service (Medical Treatment) Rules, 2015.
