Delhi government has announced a new Delhi Mitra App, which will allow citizens to register complaints with different departments from one place. This Delhi Mitra app will make grievance redressal simple, fast, and transparent. The app will act as a single-window system for complaints against Delhi government, Delhi Police, DDA, MCD, NDMC, and Delhi Cantonment Board.
What is Delhi Mitra App?
Delhi Mitra App is built not just as a complaint tool but to act as a digital bridge of trust between people and the government. Through the Delhi Mitra, people will be able to file complaints directly using their mobile phones. The facility to file complaints via WhatsApp will also be available. Citizens will get updates on every stage of their complaint through SMS or WhatsApp messages.
To make the system more accountable, nodal officers will be appointed in every department. Apart from the app, public hearings will also take place every Wednesday from 10 am to 12 pm. These hearings will be conducted by grievance redressal officers from different departments.
