Online applications for the AP Vahana Mitra Scheme 2025, which gives ₹15,000 every year to self-owned auto rickshaw, taxi, and maxi cab drivers in Andhra Pradesh is starting on 17th September. This scheme was launched on 13th September 2025 (G.O. Ms. No. 33) to help drivers meet expenses like insurance, vehicle fitness certificate, repairs, and maintenance.
Latest Update: This AP Vahan Mitra Scheme has been renamed to “Auto Drivers Sevalo” and the final beneficiary list has been published on the GSWS portal on 24th September. Applications are now closed.
From cities like Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam to small towns and rural areas, this scheme is expected to benefit lakhs of drivers. The amount will be credited directly to eligible drivers’ bank accounts from 1st October 2025 under the supervision of the Chief Minister.
The scheme is specially started for drivers who own and operate their vehicles. Goods carriers such as cargo autos or mini trucks are not covered. Only passenger vehicles like autos, motor cabs, and maxi cabs are eligible.

How to Apply Online for AP Vahana Mitra Scheme 2025 to Get Rs. 15000
Online application for this scheme can be filled through the official portal of Gram/Ward Sachivalayam and Village/Ward Secretariats (GSWS) Department. Here is the step by step process.
Application Process for New Beneficiaries
- Go to the nearest Grama Sachivalayam or Ward Sachivalayam.
- Submit your new Vahana Mitra application for 2025 through the Digital Assistant / Data Processing Secretary present there.
- There is no application fee. It is completely free of cost.
Application process for Existing Beneficiaries
- Those who benefited from the Vahana Mitra scheme in the year 2023 do not need to apply again.
- The Verification & eKYC Process for 2025 has already started for them.
- However, those who received benefits in 2023 but their name is not in the Beneficiary List for 2025 must re-apply.
STEP 1: Collect your documents like Aadhaar card, white ration card or BPL card, driving license, vehicle registration certificate, and proof of no pending challans.
STEP 2: Visit your nearest village or ward secretariat for online application, and the digital assistant or secretary will help you fill the online application form using the below process.
STEP 3: Digital Assistant / Data Processing Secretary will login to the GSWS online portal using his credentials. The Rs. 15000 scheme for auto rickshaw and cab drivers on the portal is now active from 17th September 2025.
STEP 4: After logging in, select “Financial Assistance to Auto and Maxi Cab Owners (Auto Drivers Sevalo) > New Application Form” from the BM Scheme module as shown in below image.
STEP 5: Enter your Aadhaar number and click on Pre-Fill. Many of your household details including address, date of birth, name, family member name, Pin code will be automatically filled in the form. Enter all other details such as vehicle, and bank details. Upload the scanned copies of the required documents.
STEP 6: In the next step, verify your family member details and proceed to the next step.
STEP 7: In the next step, enter your vehicle RC number (Registration Certificate). If RC number is valid, details will appear. Then, select the family member who owns a driving license, enter district RTO DL number and then upload driving license copy.
STEP 8: Submit the application and the local welfare assistant will check your details and forward them for higher-level approval.
STEP 9: Mandal Parishad Development Officers (MPDOs) in rural areas or Municipal Commissioners in cities will review and send it to the District Collector for final approval.
STEP 10: If approved, the money will be credited to your bank account through the concerned community corporation.
Check Application Status
After your application is complete, you can check your application status on NBM portal by selecting your scheme name and entering your Aadhaar number in the form.
Select “Auto Drivers Sevalo” in the scheme and enter your Aadhaar number in UID, select 2025-2026 in the year, enter the captcha and click GET OTP.
Enter the OTP received on the mobile number received on the Aadhaar linked mobile number and your application & payment status will be displayed on the page.

Eligibility Criteria for AP Vahana Mitra Scheme
To receive ₹15,000 under this scheme, drivers must follow these rules:
- Driver and vehicle owner must be the same person.
- Vehicle must be a passenger auto, motor cab, or maxi cab registered in Andhra Pradesh.
- Driving license must be valid and issued in Andhra Pradesh.
- Fitness certificate is required for motor cabs and maxi cabs. For autos, fitness certificate is exempted this year but must be obtained within one month of applying.
- Applicant must have an Aadhaar card and white ration card.
- Only one vehicle per family is eligible.
- Families with government employees or pensioners are not eligible, except families of sanitary workers.
- Income tax payees cannot apply.
- Household electricity use must be below 300 units per month on average.
- Landholding must not exceed 3 acres of wet land or 10 acres of dry land. In towns/cities, the family must not own more than 1000 sq. ft. of residential or commercial property.
- Vehicles taken on rent or lease are not eligible.
- Vehicles with pending challans or dues are disqualified.
- Families already benefiting from other government driver schemes are not eligible.
