Mandahasam Scheme to Provide Artificial Dentures to Senior Citizens is running in 2026 under the Social Justice Department of Kerala. BPL senior citizens aged 60 and above get a free full set of artificial dentures, with treatment worth up to ₹10,000 per person.

Support under the scheme was raised from ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 in October 2023. Funds for free dentures are also set aside in the 2026-27 Kerala budget under the Sayamprabha programme for elderly people. Full application steps with screenshots are in the Kerala Mandahasam Scheme online application article.

Mandahasam Scheme to Provide Artificial Dentures to Senior Citizens

Treatment is done at dental colleges and hospitals approved by the Social Justice Department. The amount goes straight to the hospital that fits the dentures, not to the applicant. Government hospitals get the full amount at once, while other approved centres get 50% first and the rest later.

A district committee made up of the District Medical Officer, the District Social Justice Officer and a government dental surgeon checks the applications. Once measurements are taken, the denture set is usually fitted within a month. Replacing only a few teeth is not covered.
