Check EESL UJALA LED Bulb / Fan / Tubelight Dashboard – The central govt. has been implementing UJALA scheme under which govt. agency Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL) provides LED bulbs at affordable prices. This scheme is being implemented across the country. This is the world’s largest non-subsidized scheme that means consumer has to pay for buy LED bulbs.

According to the data, over 36 crore LEDs have been successfully distributed under the Unnat Jeevan by Affordable LEDs and Appliances for All (UJALA) program. And also the distributors has distributed over 72 lakh LED tube-lights and 23 lakh energy efficient fans under the scheme. EESL Implementing Ujala Scheme in India

The programme is being implemented by Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL), a joint venture of PSUs under the Power Ministry, has cooperated with various power distribution companies (discoms) in 28 states and eight Union Territories.

Ujala Yojana Benefits

LED Bulbs Benefits – Till date, energy saved per year through Ujala LED bulbs is 47,778 mn kWh, cost saved is Rs. 19,111 crore, avoided peak demand of 9,565 MW and CO₂ Reduction per year is 3,87,00,126  t CO₂.

Ujala Fan Benefits – Till date, energy saved per year through Ujala fans is 21,93,91,371 kWh, cost saving per day is Rs. 74,59,30,661, avoided peak demand of 59 MW and CO₂ Reduction per year is 1,79,901  t CO₂.

LED Tubelights Benefits – Till date, energy saved per year through Ujala LED Tubelights is 31,61,39,290 kWh, cost saving per year is Rs. 1,07,48,73,585, avoided peak demand of 144 MW and CO₂ Reduction per year is 2,59,234  t CO₂.

Warranty for Ujala LED Bulb / Fan / Tubelights

The Ujala LED bulbs and Tube Lights comes with three year warranty while the energy efficient fans comes with 2.5 year warranty under the scheme. The EESL would replace the bulbs, tube lights and fans free of cost under the warranty period if a technical problem occurs.

The LED bulbs has already proved to be the electricity and money savers for the consumers as well as the government. The distribution of the LED tube lights and fans would further help in saving the energy for peak demand and reducing energy bills for the consumers.
