Financial Support Under the Scheme

The state government now spends up to ₹50,000 for the marriage of each eligible girl. This amount is divided across different parts of the wedding, so the family does not have to arrange everything on its own.

• Up to ₹7,000 per girl is given as material support for the wedding.
• ₹35,000 is given to the bride in the form of a bank draft.
• Up to ₹8,000 per girl can be spent on organizing a collective marriage.

Widowed, orphaned and destitute girls are also included under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana. The money is transferred directly to the bride's bank account, so the bride must have a bank account linked to her Aadhaar card.

Who Can Apply

Before applying, check the eligibility conditions so that the registration goes through without any problem. The rules are set by the Women and Child Development Department.

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of Chhattisgarh.
• The bride must be at least 18 years old at the time of marriage, and the groom must be at least 21 years old.

For offline application, download the application form from the official website, fill it, attach the required documents and submit it at the nearest gram panchayat or janpad panchayat in rural areas, or at the nagar nigam, nagar palika or nagar parishad office in urban areas.
